It was created in 2007 to improve how we involve people and give the opportunity for feedback to the organisation on how they are doing their work. We check with people on what they think about policies, how we are working and what would improve our services.
The meetings are relaxed and give lots of opportunity for people to have their say.
We make a visual record of the meeting and share it with the Directors and Senior Managers. The group is supported by an independent advocate.
We are always looking for new members. For more information please contact Dawn Newlands: email@example.com
Checking it Out members are also involved with NIN: National Involvement Network – (Facebook Link) and the Charter for Involvement ( http://arcuk.org.uk/scotland/charter-for-involvement/)
